The Romanian government has made plans to promote Transylvania, long associated with vampires and Dracula, as their most promising tourist destination.
Romanian Federation of Tourism and Service Employers in a statement said that Transylvania can now finally become an internationally renowned tourism destination, Discovery News reported.
He said that promoting Transylvania as a tourist destination will not only benefit the tourism in the region, but also boost country's economy.
The statement further added that the Transylvania's six counties' local authorities could develop, with European funds, a regional project that has been dubbed 'Dracula.'
The statement further added that the Dracula brand had been there for a long time, they just need to exploit it, wrap it, and sell it in the modern way.
