Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) ideologue Virag Pachpor on Monday termed National Conference (NC) chief, Farooq Abdullah's comments as objectionable, and said sedition charges must be filed against the latter.

"Farooq Abdullah is a central minister and his remarks made yesterday are serious. His first comments made against Modi that if he becomes prime minister, then Kashmir will secede is objectionable. What is he trying to do with these comments. Therefore, sedition charges should be slapped against him for saying Kashmir will separate from India," Pachpor said.

The RSS ideologue also added that electing one person as prime minister cannot break the nation, and instead, asked the National Conference chief to come forward and discuss developmental issues.

"Jammu and Kashmir is not his personal fiefdom. He is only trying to misguide the people. With just one person getting elected to the prime minister's chair, one cannot break the country. He should instead have a healthy discussion with Modi on issues of development. Therefore, his comments would have no effect on the masses," Pachpor remarked.

Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) chief Farooq Abdullah said Sunday that Kashmir will not be a part of India if Modi is voted to power.

Addressing an election rally, Abdullah, who is also Union New and Renewable Energy Minister, said the people of Kashmir wouldn't accept a communal person.

"If it happens, then Kashmir will not remain a part of India. I say it publicly. Kashmiris will not accept a communal person," said Abdullah.

Abdullah also hit out at people who have voted for Modi.

"Those who vote for Modi should drown themselves in the sea," he added.
