Saif Ali Khan's much-awaited dark comedy 'KaalaKaandi' is finally out and has met with mixed reviews from the critics, as well as audiences.
The numbers for the first weekend are in for the movie and they show that the movie has started its journey on a rather dull not at the box-office.
The movie had a marginal growth on Day 3 and minted in Rs. 1.40 crore, in comparison to what the flick earned on Day 1 (Rs. 1.25 crore) and Day 2 (Rs. 1.20 crore), ending its first weekend with the figures of Rs. 3.85 crore.
Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the figures on his Twitter handle. It was forecasted that the movie would bounce back on Sunday but by the figures, looks like people are not going in big numbers for the dark comedy.
The film stars Saif as the protagonist, who has been diagnosed with stomach cancer. His character does not have much time in hand and he realises that he should make the most of the remaining days.'
Apart from Saif Ali Khan, Kaalakaandi also stars actors like Deepak Dobriyal, Vijay Raaz and Kunaal Roy Kapur.
Meanwhile, Anurag Kashyap's 'Mukkabaaz' narrowly beat 'KaalaKaandi' at the Box-Office, by raking in Rs. 4.04 crore in its first weekend.
The movie stars Vineet Kumar Singh and Zoya Hussain in lead roles and also features Jimmy Shergill, and Ravi Kishan in pivotal roles.
