Sensex falls below 27,000-level

The Sensex fell further by 379 points to trade at 26,809 on Wednesday on sustained selling by funds and investors after RBI took a cautious stance on economic recovery coupled with forecast of a deficient monsoon.

The NSE Nifty index also is down by 104 points, trading at 8,133 at

around the same time.
