Market indices significantly rebounded on Monday in the backdrop of gains in the Asian market and Wall Street.
The BSE's Sensex soared 327.20 points to 33,634.34, while the Nifty traded 108.05-points higher at 10,334.90.
Shares of SpiceJet, Reliance Communications, Adani Power and HDIL gained up to 4 percent in morning trade. However, the Nifty PSU Bank index continued to fall, with Andhra Bank losing 12 percent, and Canara Bank, IDBI Bank, Union Bank, Allahabad Bank, Indian Bank, and the State Bank of India (SBI) down by 1-4 percent.
Furthermore, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 330.44 points or 1.38 percent to 24,190.9.
Meanwhile, the Indian Rupee opened at Rs. 65.07 against one US dollar.
