A Seoul court has reportedly ruled that Apple did not infringe on some of Samsung's patents, in a patent battle that has spread to multiple continents.

Samsung had claimed that some Apple products, including iPhone 4S and iPhone 5, infringed on three of its patents related to the messaging technology used on mobile devices.

However, the Seoul Central District Court rejected all of Samsung's claims against Apple, including a request to pay 95,000 dollars in damages and ruled that the two patents were invalid because they could be easily developed using existing technologies, the Wall Street Journal reports.

Samsung said that it was disappointed by the ruling but it will continue to take the measures necessary to protect our intellectual property rights.

The battle between the two tech giants has seen many hits and misses for both the companies, as last year South Korean court ruled largely in favour of Samsung, while this year Apple almost faced a product ban in the US when President Barack Obama vetoed against the ruling.

Meanwhile, an Apple spokeswoman said that the company was glad the Korean court joined others around the world in standing up for real innovation and rejecting Samsung's ridiculous claims, the report added.
