Sharad Yadav is synonymous with JD(U): Lalu Yadav

Rashatriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav on Saturday said that the real Janata Dal (United) (JD(U)) with Sharad Yadav as the head will prevail over the one with Nitish Kumar.

Speaking to ANI about the parallel meetings being chaired by Sharad Yadav and Nitish Kumar, he said that Yadav's name is synonymous with the JD(U).

He said, "All the supporters of the JD(U) are with Sharad Yadav. He is the founder of the party and the people who were loyal to him are with him."

Lalu added that the Nitish Kumar Government is the root cause of corruption. He cited the Srijan Scandal, where an NGO allegedly siphoned off an estimated Rs. 700 crore of public funds, as an example.

"The amount involved in the Srijan Scam is increasing every day. He joined the BJP, so that the CBI raids against him don't prove anything," he said.

Yadav also said that he would file a petition in the Supreme Court to seek a probe into the matter.
