Uttar Pradesh's PWD Minister Shivpal Yadav on Thursday backtracked from his earlier statement alleging the Samajwadi Party has always been taking the side of terrorists and anti-nationals.

Shivpal, who is brother of Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav, expressing regret over his comments told ANI that it was just a mere slip of tongue.

"I just had a slip of tongue that day and I deeply regret it. I had already given my clarification, but there are some people who keep on hatching conspiracies against me," he said.

The video is believed to have been shot on Monday when Shivpal spoke to the media in Etawah.
