Bollywood star Shraddha Kapoor, well known for her love for animals, has urged everyone to go up against crackers for their sake.

As the festival of lights Diwali inches closer, the 'Ok Jaanu' star has taken to social media to appeal to her fans to not burst fire crackers not just because it harms the environment, in the form of air and noise pollution, but also because it affects animals.

She captioned the video, "Diwali is coming-the Festival of Lights...not of noise & air pollution. Help keep the air clean & be sensitive to the animals on the streets"

In the video, Shraddha, who is seen sitting with her dog, says, "Hi everyone, since it is that time of the year when Diwali is just around the corner, I just want to say that please don't buy firecrackers and don't burst crackers, because not only does it causes a lot of pollution but it also troubles all the animals on the streets. So instead, spend Diwali with your family, with your loved ones, and eat amazing food, eat sweets, but don't burst crackers. Wish you a Happy Diwali"

On the work front, the actress is currently working on the trilingual 'Saaho' along with 'Baahubali' Prabhas. She has recently returned to Mumbai after wrapping the first schedule of the film in Hyderabad.
