The Additional District and session judge-(first) of Jaunpur today pronounced death sentence to one of convicts- Alamgeer alias Roni, in connection with bomb explosion in the Shramjeevi Express train in 2005.
The judge also imposed fine of 10 lakh rupees on the convict. The verdict on one more accused in this case is expected on 2nd of next month.
Two other accused have been shifted to Hyderabad in connection with other case.
Alamgeer, closely associated with Bangladesh's terrorist group HuJi found guilty in this bomb explosion case in which 14 passengers lost their lives and ninety other were injured.
The explosion occurred in general compartment of Patna -New Delhi bound Shramjivi express train near Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh on 28th July 2005.
According to investigation, the conspiracy was hatched at Rajshahi in Bangladesh by the terrorist outfit Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami (HuJi).
