However, the actor took to Twitter to clear the air.
The actor rubbished the rumours that said that he was not happy with the response his upcoming film has been garnering.
The 'Baar Baar Dekho' star clarified by tweeting, "Came back from London to hear that someone who looks like me has been spreading rumours! #MistakenIdentity ??#JhandHaiMeriLifeBC ??#AGentleman."
The trailer of the film has received a mixed response from the audience.
Produced by Fox Star Studios, and helmed by director-duo Raj and D.K., 'A Gentleman' also stars Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead role.
The flick is set to release on August 25.
