Union Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani on Saturday hailed the Union Budget for fiscal 2015-16 as pragmatic and one which places a lot of thrust on infrastructure, skill, innovation and girls' education.
"A pragmatic budget, it gives lot of thrust on infrastructure, skill, innovation, girls' education. 'Nayi Manzil' sounds very interesting, 'Atal Yojana' Program needs to be celebrated across country," said Irani.
Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari said that the highest priority has been given to infrastructure for the first time in the nation's history.
"Investment in infrastruture will boost employment opportunities, given priority to rural development and agriculture," said Gadkari.
Environment Minister Parkash Javadekar also termed the budget as historical, adding that it had given social security to all.
"It's of the poor, for the poor," said Javadekar.
