World renowned coffee shop chain Starbucks would soon be serving alcoholic drinks in the evenings at its UK outlets.
The company said though they won't be selling spirits like gin, whisky or vodka, the branches will serve food alongside premium wines and beers, and the alcohol would be available for consumption on the premises only, the Daily Star reported.
Ian Cranna, VP marketing for Starbucks Europe said that "welcoming coffeehouse environment" has always been their focus, and with their new evening menu, which would be available from about 4 pm, they were offering something terrific choices to the later in the day customers.
The first Starbucks branch to offer a more substantial food menu alongside alcoholic drinks will be at Stansted Airport, and the food items would include macaroni cheese and braised British beef.
