Sri Lanka likely to issue release orders of captured Indian fishermen tomorrow

The release orders of 51 Indian fishermen are likely to be issued by Sri Lankan courts on Tuesday as the process could not be completed today.

According to reports, 55 fishermen from Tamil Nadu have already been released and the repatriation of all 106 will take place together later this week.

However, the vessels of the Indian fishermen which were captured by the Lankan Navy will not be released.

Meanwhile, the 3 Indian fishermen who were caught by the Island Navy yesterday were remanded by the Sri Lankan courts till January 29.
