Rod Stewart and Susan Boyle are set to perform at the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony in Glasgow later this month.
The 69-year-old British rock singer-songwriter will be singing along with the Scottish-born former Britain's Got Talent contestant at Celtic Park to an audience of 40,000 people.
Chief executive David Grevemberg said that the news of Stewart joining the gig would take "excitement and anticipation to a whole new level".
Others who will be performing at the ceremony are Scottish acts Amy MacDonald and Julie Fowlis alongside violinist Nicola Benedetti.
