England all-rounder Ben Stokes has backed his team mate Adil Rashid, saying that the leg-spinner will hopefully come with something big next time following his worst innings figures in Test debut against Pakistan at Abu Dhabi.
According to news.com.au, Rashid has replaced Australia's Bryce McGain for the worst Test debut figures of 0-149. The 27-year-old gave 163 runs in his 34 wicket-less overs to Pakistan.
While praising Rashid, Stokes said that the former had been bowling quite well during practice sessions and would overcome this situation.
Stokes admitted that despite of things not going Rashid's way, he is a level-headed player.
At the close of the play yesterday, England had made 56 with no wicket loss and were trailing by 467 runs.
