Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Majeed Memon today said that the Supreme Court is right in staying the orders of the Uttarakhand, high court until they have the printed copies of the case related to withdrawal of President's rule in the state.

Memon said "It is a very unfortunate situation that sensitive matters like, dealings with the constitutional issues, when the orders are pronounced and the judgments are not ready"

"As a matter of fact I believe that our experience tells us that in our country we are still to make these changes in our system that once the judgment is pronounced, simultaneously all the printed sets must be ready for public consumption. But this is not happening," he told ANI.

"Although we a have facilities of computer, and all digital things are there with the high court, the high court must now hereafter try to see that before the pronouncement, everything is simultaneously ready," Memon said.

" When you pronounce such an important decision, you should enable the parties to know what you have stated. Therefore in a way the Supreme Court is right in staying the order, operation of the order, till the order is read," he further said.

The Supreme Court on Friday stayed the Uttarakhand High Court's order of quashing President's rule in the state.

A single bench of the apex court, headed by Justice Dipak Misra, reviewed the order of the high court and stayed its verdict till April 27.

The high court had set aside president's rule imposed last month, saying Article 356 was imposed in the state contrary to the law laid down by the Supreme Court.
