The 'Wrecking Ball' singer posted a picture of her in green costume with a board "So I'm hosting this year's VMAs!" and along with a picture of an alien with a board that read, "MTV won't let me perform" on Twitter, E! Online reported.
The 22-year-old singer captioned it "F-k yeah VMAs!!!!! on Aug 30 at 9pm."
Meanwhile, Cyrus' fans started commenting suggesting various acts she could do on the show like racy dancing and smoking.
