Referring to Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah calling those who hoisted Islamic State flag as foolish persons , Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy on Thursday called for putting those elements behind bars who participated in such acts, and indicated that time has come to impose President's rule along with Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) in Jammu and Kashmir.

"Well it does not require a PhD to come to a conclusion; if enemy's flag is hoisted by any Indian citizen then it is a serious matter," Swamy told ANI here.

"Omar Abdullah has no business to say that there are some foolish youngsters have done this, what do you mean?. There is no such thing as foolish youngsters when it comes to betraying your country. They should arrest those people and put them into jail and interrogate them," he said.

Suggesting that the state should be brought under President's rule and AFSPA, Swamy further added, " I think now time has come for Kashmir to be put under President's rule and the entire state being brought under Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA)."

On Wednesday the General Officer Commanding of the Chinar Corps, Lieutenant General Subrata Saha, said the recent display of ISIS flags in Kashmir is a cause of 'serious concern' for the security agencies.

Lieutenant General Saha said the ISIS is capable of attracting large number of volunteers.

Last week a protestor was seen waving flag of Islamic State of Iraq and Syria after Eid prayers whereas in July also similar waving of flag was seen in the Valley. Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abudllah has rubbished the waving of ISIS flag in the Valley as an act by "some idiots".
