Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy on Monday warned Union Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) over the visit of former Norwegian Prime Minister Kjell Magne Bondevik's visit to Jammu and Kashmir where he met separatist leaders.
Swamy warned the MEA to take "corrective action" over Bondevik's visit to Jammu and Kashmir or he would demand the resignation of the person concerned who initiated the visit for former Norwegian Prime Minister.
Taking to Twitter, Swamy said, "Either MEA comes out with corrective action on the Norwegian ex-PM visit to J&K or I will have to demand the resignation of the person in the bureaucracy who initiated this visit."
Bondevik on Friday paid 'surprise' visits to top separatist leaders in J&K including Syed Ali Geelani and Mirwaiz Umer Farooq.
National Conference (NC) leader Omar Abdullah also expressed concerns over Bondevik's visit.
"What are the Norwegians up to in Kashmir? Would either @SushmaSwaraj ji or Doval ji care to put the visit of the former Norwegian PM to both sides of the divided state in the correct context or do we have to rely on rumours & conjecture?" Abdullah tweeted.
