Cast and crew of upcoming romantic-comedy Bollywood film, 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns' launched the trailer of the movie in Mumbai.
The movie is a sequel of 'Tanu Weds Manu', which was released in 2011.
Directed by Anand L. Rai, the movie will see Bollywood actor R. Madhavan and actress Kangana Ranaut in lead roles. The movie revolves around the two and how they cope up with each other after getting married.
Speaking on the occasion Madhavan said, "The place where the movie ended four years ago, it starts exactly from the same place. The story that you have seen in 'Tanu Weds Manu' now you will see after six years. The 12-year old girl who did the snake dance has grown up. The little boy who ran naked is now a young boy. So, it's a lovely story everybody is looking six years older and they are all making sense."
'Tanu Weds Manu' was about a meek doctor who fell in love with a feisty, rebellious girl at one glance, while she is asleep. Ranaut played the sleeping girl 'Tanu' who would also essay the role of a tomboy girl in the sequel.
While Ranaut said, "This is very close to my heart because many love stories come and go each year but none of them go into tricky grounds. They generally do not show as to what happens after marriage and generally ends on a happy note. The movie is about what actually happens after marriage and what it takes to love all over again. Marriage which is an urban and relatable issue, the movie is based on this concept. It is a beautiful film."
The film is set to hit the theatres on April 22.
