Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Monday instructed members of Treasury benches to get equipped with answers to any question/query to be raised by the members in the Legislative Assembly.

This comes as he "desired that the ensuing Winter Session of Legislative Assembly to be held in a meaningful way to discuss people's issues without giving any scope for "politicisation of the proceedings," said a statement from the Chief Minister's Office.

The Chief Minister has also decided to utilise the session to explain to the people on several welfare programmes launched by the state government for the public.

Since members of the House are likely to raise several issues, the Chief Minister wanted the Treasury Benches to be armed with the necessary information, said the statement.

He also asked the ministers to prepare comprehensive reports on their respective ministries to be shared in the House, saying all the ruling party members should have awareness on the policies and programmes of the government.

The Chief Minister said the ruling front is ready to take their suggestions and opinions. However, a clear-cut message should be given to the members not to politicise the proceedings of the session, the statement said.
