American horror drama television series, 'The Walking Dead' recently released an official sneak peak of its seventh season and sheriff Rick Grimes is still alive in it.
At the New York Comic Con, AMC released a brand new sneak peek that officially confirmed that the character of Rick, played by Andrew Lincoln is still alive, reports E! Online.
Based on the comic book series of the same name by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore, and Charlie Adlard, 'The Walking Dead' is a horror drama that stars Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes, who awakens from a coma, discovering a world overrun by zombies, commonly referred to as 'walkers.'
Grimes reunites with his family and becomes the leader of a group he forms with other survivors. Together, they struggle to survive and adapt in a post-apocalyptic world filled with walkers and opposing groups of survivors, who are often more dangerous than the walkers themselves.
In the final episode of the sixth season, the surviving group led by the sheriff, found themselves being trapped and psychologically tormented by another group in which the leader determined if they should be killed or kept alive.
The upcoming episode titled, 'Right Hand Man' also reportedly shows someone to Grimes' right severely bloodied up.
An eagle-eyed Twitter user noticed something on the ground in the bloody mess that appears to be an engagement ring, but not unlike the one pregnant Maggie is wearing.
Another important image is the blanket lying on the ground, which looks like the blanket Daryl played by Norman Reedus was wrapped in.
And then there's all the talk about a right hand man. In the comics, Rick was supposed to lose his literal right hand to the Governor, so it is possible that this could be a warning that the audience is about to finally see that happen.
'The Walking Dead' premieres on October 23 on AMC.
