Ahead of Eid-ul-Adha or Bakra eid, if Bahubali, a giant 1800 kg Murrah buffalo, faces a fate of being sacrificed if it does not fetch a hefty sum by Monday.
Meanwhile, people in Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad city have gone berserk just to catch a glimpse of the giant buffalo, which has become a major attraction.
'Bahubali' was bought by Mohammad Taufeek Kureshi and Nadeem, for a whopping amount of Rs. 11 lakh from Ludhiana and the prize buffalo now awaits a buyer.
"Every day, it drinks 20 litres of milk and eats 20 kilograms of apples apart from normal animal diet. We have also provided him a mattress to sleep on. Since the day we bought him, people from nearby areas, including Haldwani, Rampur, Bilaspur, Chandosi, Bilari are visiting to see the buffalo," said Tausif.
Tausif said if Bahubali does not fetch the desired price by Monday, then he will sacrifice the bovine himself.
"It's been two days since Bahubali arrived in the market and visitors can't get enough of her shiny coat, sturdy limbs and hooves. Awe-struck visitors jostled with each other to pet Bahubali and are continuously clicking selfies with it," Kureshi said.
Meanwhile, Bahubali is being kept in a room with two water coolers and a ceiling fan.
Eid al-Adha will be celebrated across the nation on September 13.
Muslims slaughter sheeps, goats and cows to commemorate Prophet Abraham's willingness to sacrifice his son Ismail on God's command.
