Three police officials, including an Additional Inspector General (AIG) of Police were killed in a suspected suicide attack on Thursday morning in Quetta, Balochistan.
The Dawn quoted police sources, as saying that Additional Inspector General (AIG) Telecommunications Hamid Shakeel and two others were killed, while four were injured.
Police sources further said that the blast was targeted at AIG Shakeel as he was leaving his residence and passing near the Chaman Housing Scheme in the city.
The injured are being treated at the Civil Hospital Quetta, where an emergency has been imposed.
Balochistan Governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai and Chief Minister Sanaullah Zehri have strongly condemned the attack.
