Online ticket vendor Ticketek has been inundated with request for tickets for 2014 Sydney Ashes Test Match in January from cricket hungry fans, with days one and two of the Test sold out in minutes.
According to the Daily Telegraph, seat numbers for day one of the Sydney Ashes test were exhausted and day three also had only single seats available to purchase in many categories.
The report said that more than 40,000 tickets had already been issued for days one and two prior to this morning as part of pre-ticket purchasing opportunities.
