Manoj Bajpayee starrer, 'Traffic', is a film which shows at length the ordeal faced by traffic cops and how they go above and beyond to fulfill their duties.

The film has given Manoj and the entire 'Traffic' team an opportunity to pay a tribute to Mumbai's Traffic Police officers.

Over a series of events and visits, the film's team has felicitated the many initiatives and highlighted the many efforts of the Traffic Police.

The 'Aligarh' star also recently visited the Traffic control room to personally thank the officers, also as a gesture of gratitude towards the cops who tirelessly work day in and out, Manoj Bajpayee gifted neon coloured florescent jackets (reflective jackets) to the traffic constables.

Mumbai's Additional Commissioner of Traffic Mr. Sunil Paraskar was also present for the trailer launch of the film.

The Officer had earlier said, "I have seen the trailer already and I feel it is one of the best films, not for its glamour or anything. I look at it from a very different point of view, the human interest point of view. The value of a life, of a person who is dying could be best known by their family members and delays like Traffic may perhaps make him lose his life."

"It is going to be a very difficult task for us, as due to this film people's expectations from the Traffic Police would be much more and we will have to match up with what Mr. Manoj Bajpayee has done in the film. It is one of the wonderful films, my best wishes to the film", added the Mumbai's Additional Commissioner.

With the film set to release, the makers of 'Traffic' are to host a special screening of the film for Traffic Police Officers in Mumbai.

In his upcoming next,Traffic, the 47-year-old actor plays a traffic constable who spearheads a situation where a heart has to be delivered to a patient in another location, amidst the heavy traffic in Mumbai.

Manoj's strong performance in his latest release, 'Aligarh', has given the actor critical acclaim and has helped him garner accolades and has created an audience awaiting the release of Traffic.

The films boasts a powerful star cast of actors like Manoj Bajpayee, Jimmy Shergill, Divya Dutta and Sachin Khedekar, who are known for their award winning performances.

The film is directed by late Mr. Rajesh Pillai and will hit the theatres on May 6.
