In a series of tweets, President Donald Trump revisited his 2016 victory over Hillary Clinton, while taking on his own FBI director James Comey as well.
"FBI Director Comey was the best thing that ever happened to Hillary Clinton in that he gave her a free pass for many bad deeds! The phony Trump/Russia story was an excuse used by the Democrats as justification for losing the election. Perhaps Trump just ran a great campaign," Trump wrote in a series of messages.

The President's reaction comes after Clinton blamed her candidacy, Russia's intervention in the election via WikiLeaks and a letter released by James Comey for her 2016 election loss.
Meanwhile, Comey is set to make an appearance before a Senate committee today, where he'll face questions on Russian interference in the U.S. elections and also why he decided to announce that the FBI was looking again at Clinton's emails just days before the election, reports CNN.
Earlier in February, President Trump had slammed the FBI for leaks on possible contact between the Trump campaign and Russian officials.
"The FBI is totally unable to stop the national security "leakers" that have permeated our government for a long time. They can't even find the leakers within the FBI itself. Classified information is being given to media that could have a devastating effect on U.S. FIND NOW." Trump tweeted.
