US President Donald Trump's proposed USD 2 billion tariff on China-made products will surge the prices of Apple products, the iPhone maker has claimed.
Apple, which manufactures most of its products in China, says that the 25 percent increase in import tax will affect a lot of other Apple products such as the AirPods, HomePod, and Apple Watch, Cnet reported.
The list of products and components that Apple claims will become expensive also includes Mac Mini, Magic Mouse, Magic Trackpad, Apple Pencil, Apple computer parts, printed circuit boards, electrical connectors, and so on.
Apple has raised its concerns through a letter to the Trump administration. The company said that the increased tariffs will show up as a tax on US consumers. Apple also claims that the proposed tariff will be worse for the US than China. It has asked the government to reconsider its decisions.
