The authorities in Tunisia have reportedly arrested seven alleged accomplices of the gunman, who killed 38 people in the beach resort town of Sousse on Friday.

Tunisia's Interior Minister Mohamed Najem Gharsalli said those arrested belonged to a network that provided the assailant logistical support and weapons ahead of the attack, reported Fox News.

A source close to the investigation said that the seven suspects were being interrogated in the capital.

The 24-year-old assailant, Seifeddine Rezgui, who was a student, was shot dead by the police at the scene of the attack.

It was claimed by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

This was the second major terror attack on tourists in Tunisia since March, when militants killed 22 people at a museum in the capital city of Tunis.
