Two Indian Police Service (IPS) officers have been for non-performance in Chhattisgarh.

According to reports, Senior IPS officers AM Juri and KC Agrawal, batch of Indian Police Service 2000 and 2002, were dismissed from the service following a recommendation of the Chhattisgarh Government as they were found to be "dead wood".

The order of removing them was issued by the home ministry yesterday, after an approval of the Appointments Committee of Cabinet, headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The performance of both the officers was reviewed after completion of their 15 years in service and they were found to be unfit to continue the office.
