Two persons were injured after two powerful bombs planted by suspected militants exploded in Imphal.
The bombs might have been planted to target security personnel, said police sources. However, the explosion did not cause any harm to them.
The two injured men were identified as Kiran Laishram (45) a mason, whose condition was critical, and S.M. Kennath.
"The blast took place around 9.30 a.m to 10.00 a.m. I cannot say the exact time, when we were at the Bungdung parking. I was there to send vegetables for my children through the bus. And the blast took place when I was talking with the masons at the parking," said Kennath.
The injured persons were immediately evacuated and rushed to Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences for treatment.
