The U.S. Navy SEAL who claims to have shot Osama Bin Laden said that he is afraid the Pentagon might prosecute him for openly telling the story of the May 2011 raid on the al Qaeda leader's compound in Abottabad in Pakistan.
According to CNN, Robert O'Neill said that sharing the details for the families of 9/11 victims and military veterans killed makes the risk worthwhile.
He also said that he did this in the way that it didn not violate any rules or tactics.
He said that being prosecuted concerned him and that if it comes up then he would address it.
It was the first time that O'Neill had talked about the mission in his most extensive interview when he realized the power of his story as men and women started crying and told him "it was closure for them".
