It is obvious that a workplace has certain rules and regulations but sometimes the employers tend to restrict too much which suffocates the workers.

While the employers think that these rules are necessary, the workers think the management is forcing these rules unnecessarily as these rules make them feel like a school going kid, reported the BBC.

Some of these unwanted rules are:

1. Restricting internet use. Though there are certain sites that should be ignored during work but when the companies unnecessarily restrict worker's internet activity, it demoralises the staff.

2. Racking worker's attendance, leave and time off. People are salaried for the work they do, not the specific hours they sit at their desks and when companies keep a track of worker's attendance it creates distrust amongst the two parties.

3. Stealing employees' frequent-flier miles. Taking employees' miles and counting every penny they spend during business trips sends the message that the company doesn't appreciate the worker's sacrifice.

4. Forced rankings of performance. When employees are forced to fit into a pre-determined ranking system, it creates insecurity and dissatisfaction amongst them and they fear of getting fired all the time.
