Allahabad Additional District Magistrate (ADM) O.P. Srivastava on Tuesday rubbished news of him urinating at the confluence of three rivers - Ganga, Yamina and Saraswati - popularly known as Triveni Sangam, saying that he was 'just washing his hands and adjusting his pants'.
"It's a wrong news. I was just washing my hands and adjusting my pants. I was not urinating. I was 15-20 feet away from the river. Like any other Hindu, I also respect 'Triveni Sangam' a lot. I would not do such a thing," Srivastava said.
The video of the officer urinating at the river has gone viral.
Apparently, the senior official was at the Triveni Sangam to discuss arrangements for the upcoming Triveni Mahotsav.
