The police in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar district made use of drone to nab a thief accused of looting a trader.
A gang of five robbers were on the run after looting Rs. six lakhs from an animal trader.
The police was in the lookout for the accused when they traced one of the robbers near a field in Muzaffarnagar and successfully nabbed him with the help of a drone.
"Because there was looting, the police followed the thieves. The thieves after the loot fled to a sugar field and with the use of drone, we have traced a man successfully. If there is any such incident again we will make use of the new technology," Senior Superintendent of Police K.B. Singh said.
He added that the police was on the lookout for the other accused.
