A tanker driver was brutally thrashed by a mob after his vehicle collided with a car and allegedly crashed into a house in Uttar Pradesh's Azizganj village.
Fortunately, the passengers travelling in the car were left uninjured after the tanker collision.
The injured driver, Ram Pratap, was admitted to the district hospital in a critical condition by police who were said to be present at the spot when the mob was brutally thrashing the driver.
When the driver fell unconscious, the police intervened and managed to disperse the agitated crowd.
According to Dr VK Gangwar, the condition of the driver is critical as he has received external as well as internal injuries.
The police have assured that investigation will be conducted into the matter and appropriate action will be taken.
