The Art of Living Foundation on Friday confirmed that the US Department of State had contacted the organisation vis-a-vis the alleged threats from extremist groups such as the Tehreek-e-Taliban.
"We were contacted by the US Department of State, that there are some threats from extremist groups and we should take extra caution," Art of Living Foundation spokesperson, Gautam, told ANI.
"We just carry on with our work, these kinds of threats have been coming in the past, not giving it much importance," he added.
Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar had in March received a threatening letter from the ISIS terror group, while he was on a tour of Malaysia.
The organisation had at that time said the content of the letter read that if they go ahead with the programme there would be consequences.
