US Navy unveils a 5 yearlong programme to make drone-like unmanned helicopters costing about 100 million dollars. The helicopters will be capable of rescuing injured soldiers and deliver the supplies.

Rear Adm. Matthew Klunder, the Navy's research chief intends to deliver 5000 pounds of cargo with these helicopters, he consider this as a leap-ahead technology.

The system was successful in the test runs held at Marine Corps base in Quantico, VA.

According to the Fox News, These autonomous helicopters will reduce the risk of casualties' soldiers face while delivering the supplies as ground convoys are easy targets for the enemies.

The Pantagon has set some guidelines, which restrains these autonomous helicopters to carry out 'kill missions' without any human involvement.
