An expecting woman had to face public criticism, after posting pictures of herself lifting weights while being 8 months pregnant, on Facebook.
In the photo, Lea-Anne Ellison, 35, whose due date is just two weeks away, can be seen posing with a barbell over her head, the New York Daily News reported.
The mum-of-two wrote alongside the picture that she has been doing the CrossFit workout for 2 1/2 years and believes that pregnancy is not an illness, but a time to relish in your body's capabilities to kick ass.
However, scores of commenters were angered by the photos, and claimed that pregnancy was not the time to be taking stupid risks.
One person asserted that if anything were to happen to the baby, then Ellison would hopefully be able to handle her guilt.
But, the pictures also received a few supporters, who alleged that regular exercise is good for pregnant women.
