US Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power has predicted that the United States will not conduct airstrikes against IS militants in Syria alone.
Speaking on ABC News "This Week", Power said that the US would not do the air strikes alone, if the president decided to do the air strikes.
The UN ambassador said that it would be up to each country to announce for itself whether it's prepared to participate, whether in a combat role or to provide military equipment.
Power further said that she believes the US has the legal basis to go ahead with action against IS without a UN resolution - one that Russia could potentially veto, the report said.
