Arsene Wenger said Sunday that he will stay as manager of Arsenal FC for another season, ending speculation that he might leave after nearly 18 years at the helm.

Though he is yet to sign a new contract, Wenger told media after his club's one nil win over West Bromwich Albion that he would at the helm of affairs on the field in the 2014-15 season.

According to Sport24, Wenger said he did not when he would ink a new contract, and added that he didn't need a pen to commit to Arsenal.

He said that he was happy to see the club secure a top-four finish this season and also be in the Champions League.

Under Wenger's leadership, Arsenal has played Champions League football for 17 consecutive seasons and overseen a lucrative move from Highbury to Emirates Stadium. When he joined Arsenal in 1996, the club flourished on the pitch, winning three league titles and four FA Cup trophies.

Sixty-four-year-old Wenger hopes to end Arsenal's trophy drought of the past nine years with a FA Cup final win against Hull on May 17.
