The truth behind the "infamous moment" where Princess Diana appeared to snub Prince Charles as he leaned in for a kiss has been revealed.
A former Royal press officer has spilled the beans on the matter in his new book 'On Duty With The Queen: My Time as a Buckingham Palace Press Officer', the Daily Express reported.
Diana was left to attend the Taj Mahal alone when Prince Charles was busy attending business meetings and she apparently decided take revenge on her husband at a Valentine's Day polo match.
Dickie Arbiter, former Royal press officer said that Prince Charles had realized his mistake, and he hurriedly returned with an uncertain crowd looking on, and moved to kiss his wife's cheek.
Arbiter added that the Princess "swiveled" her head so that the kiss landed near her ear.
