World number one and defending champion Tiger Woods has carded a third-round seven-over-par 79, which is the third-highest round of his career on the US PGA Tour, despite missing the secondary cut at the Farmers Insurance Open held at Torrey Pines, California.
The 14-time Major winning American, who made only the halfway cut by one stroke on Friday, carded 79 with two double-bogeys and five bogeys from the 18th, his ninth hole in the tournament, which he has won seven times.
According to the BBC, Woods' compatriot Gary Woodland posted a two-under-par 70 for eight under overall, one shot clear of fellow American Jordan Spieth and Australia's Marc Leishman.
The report mentioned that Woods, who has won eight tournaments at Torrey Pines including the 2008 US Open, had previously finished outside of the top 10 only once at the course on the PGA Tour and his 79 on Saturday is only two shots better than his worst round as a professional - an 81 recorded at Muirfield in the 2002 Open.
Belgium's Nicolas Colsaerts is the highest-placed European on five under and Scotland's Russell Knox is the highest-placed Briton on four under, one ahead of England's Ian Poulter, the report added.
