Former world number one Tiger Woods has said he is excited about making a comeback at the World Challenge in the Bahamas next month after a nine-month long injury lay-off.
"I am excited to return to competitive golf at the World Challenge," news.com.au quoted Tiger Woods, as saying on his website.
The 41-year-old also thanked his fans for their unwavering support during his injury.
Accompanying Woods in the elite 18-player Hero World Challenge on November 30 is Daniel Berger. The two round out the final two spots in the event.
Woods said, "Albany is the perfect setting and it will be great to join this outstanding field. I want to thank Pawan Munjal and Hero MotoCorp for their continued support of this tournament and my foundation."
The 18 World Golf Championships winner is making a comeback after sustaining a back surgery which has kept him out of action since he pulled out of the Dubai Desert Classic in February.
The American golfer has only played six competitive rounds of golf in the past two years.
Woods' private life has been through ups and downs.
Recently he saved himself from going to prison after pleading guilty to reckless driving and agreeing to enter a diversion programme.
Woods was arrested for drunk driving in Florida on May 29.
