In what is supposed to be a cracker of a game, Pakistan will take on Australia in a crucial Group 2 match of the ICC World Twenty20 at the PCA Stadium in Mohali today.
Both the teams need a victory to stay alive in the tournament. If Australia win today, Pakistan will bow out, and the match with India on Sunday will become a virtual quarter-final.
However, if Pakistan defeat Australia by a decent margin, and Australia beat India, Pakistan will enter the semi-finals on a better net run rate.
If India beat Australia, it will knock out both the teams and join New Zealand from the group in the semi-finals.
In Group 1, South Africa will take on West Indies in the evening at Nagpur. A victory for the Windies will get them a semi-final berth.
