Ace cricket commentator Geoffrey Boycott has said in his column that England's current batting form is a sign of worry ahead of the first Ashes Test against Australia in Brisbane.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Boycott said that England should not be confident just because they won 3-0 in the summer.
Boycott said that England's batsmen are at their most vulnerable in the first Test match of an overseas series and in recent times they have made a real cock-up of the first innings in particular, according to the report.
Boycott added that batting will decide the first Test and although we know on paper the Australia batsmen do not look as strong as England but with England's recent history of playing poorly in the opening Test, with new guys in the side and some of them undercooked there is a big question mark as to how the side will perform, the report mentioned.
