Continuing its sequelitis with a revisit to 2012 animated hit 'Wreck-It Ralph,' Disney has recently announced its release date.
Disney Animation studio, on June 30, announced via a Facebook Live video on its page that the much-awaited sequel is now in development and slated for a March 9, 2018 release, reports the Independent.
"I'm gonna wreck it!" Again! @DisneyAnimation confirms Wreck-It Ralph sequel. Here's a first look at concept art," tweeted Disney along with its first look.
The sequel will have the original director Rich Moore and screenwriter Phil Johnston returning to their creative roles, alongside John C. Reilly, who voiced the film's conflicted good guy/bad guy.
Concept art released during the announcement on Facebook Live shows Ralph going digital, standing with sidekick Vanellope over billboards parodying Google and Amazon.
"It's top secret but I'll tell you this much. Ralph leaves the arcade and wrecks the Internet. What could go wrong?" Reilly teased.
The 2012 released original movie, in 3D, pulled in 189 million dollars domestically and just under 500 million dollars worldwide, becoming the 12th-highest grossing film of that year.
