Pakistan veteran Younis Khan has reportedly become the fourth Pakistan batsman to reach 7000 runs in Tests with his unbeaten 52 during the second day of the second Test against Zimbabwe in the Harare Sports Club on Wednesday.
With the help of Khan's solid innings, Pakistan retained control of the Test, reaching 163 for three at the close of play in contrast to the hosts' first innings total of 294.
According to Sport24, Khan reached 50 for the 49th time in Test cricket with patient batting against steady bowling and stretched well forward to most deliveries despite cracks in the pitch.
The report also said that batsmen of both sides played cautiously on a slow pitch, with only five wickets falling in the day and 222 runs being scored.
Khan and fellow veteran and captain Misbah-ul-Haq will resume on Thursday, after putting on 67 for the fourth wicket, with Khan facing127 balls and hitting six fours, while Misbah making 27 not out off 88 deliveries, the report added.
