West Indies T20 star and Peshawar Zalmi skipper Darren Sammy has made a big statement before the finals of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), saying he and his entire team will shave their heads if they win historic showdown against Quetta Gladiators in Lahore today.
Considered as one of cricket's finest entertainers, both on and off the field, Sammy, who was speaking to Younis Khan in a video, asked the Pakistan Test legend whether he likes his bald head and beard.
After receiving the answer in the affirmative, Sammy bluntly said, "If Peshawar wins the final then all Zalmi players will shave their heads."
Sammy did not stop their and further went on to say that franchise owner Javed Afridi will also join the 'bald army'.
"Even the boss," the Dawn quoted Sammy as saying.
Meanwhile, in order to avoid any untoward incident at Sunday's PSL final at the Gaddafi Stadium, unrivalled security arrangements have been put in place by the Pakistan Government.
A five-layer security will be looking after the two domestic teams, Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators, which will also feature four foreign cricketers each.
In order to meet any medical emergency, a temporary 25-bed hospital has also been set up at the National Hockey Stadium, adjacent to Gaddafi Stadium, which will be working 24 hours.
Both the teams would be carried out from their hotels to the stadium and back in PCB's own bullet proof buses.
